Java Runtime Environment 7 Update 67 32 64 Bit
I hope I can find an answer for the problem I have with updating/installing Java 7 (JRE) update 67 32 bit on Windows 8.1 x64 bit system. The 64 bit Java 7 update 67 installs fine. In the past there were no issues with updating JRE 32 bit to newer versions. Recently I get Internal error 2318 (Asia/Aqtobe library). I tried to uninstall it from the computer, remove entries from registry, tried to delete java folders (tried - some files cannot be removed). No luck with installing even with offline x586 installer. Some websites claim that 97% issues can be fixed by cleaning Windows registry. I have been cleaning it on regular basis with ccleaner pro, so I don't think this is the problem.
jPortable 7 Update 67 (formerly Java Portable) has been released by PortableApps.com. jPortable (32-bit and 64-bit) allows you to easily install the Java runtime engine to your PortableApps.com-enabled device for use with portable apps like LibreOffice Portable and Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition, and Google Chrome Portable, all without any Java runtime on the local PC. This release updates Java to the latest version, fixing a security issue. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format for easy use from any portable device and integration with the PortableApps.com Platform. It's freeware for business and personal use.
jPortable allows you to easily add a Java runtime environment to your portable device. It automatically works with apps in PortableApps.com Format like OpenOffice.org Portable. No Java runtime environment needs to be installed on the local machine and no admin rights are required. The JVM will be downloaded directly from Oracle's servers as part of the installation process.
Prior to the 8.1 update I was able to run java fine on the desktop IE10. For work this is essential, as I access dropbox to upload files, etc. I'd much rather keep using IE, however since 8.1 I get an alert that some of my add-ons are not compatible with the new enhanced security features, etc.
My lab is 11.6 but it's kind of a PCCE/UCCE hybrid. Should be the same java version though. I must set my JRE System Library Execution environment to JavaSE-1_7_0_67Java 1.8 did not work for me. 2ff7e9595c
